Our Timeline
2015
We were founded in 2015 by Eberhardt Weber and Carsten Thoma with the intention to build the best cloud-native digital commerce platform in the world.
2017
We started in grocery retail in 2017, one of the most sophisticated fields in digital commerce.
2019
We are meticulous. We took several years developing and perfecting our software. Our first enterprise customer (MPREIS) joined in 2019.
We opened a software engineering and operations office in Gliwice, Poland in 2019.
2020
42CAP invested in us in 2020 as our first institutional investor.
We open a new subsidiary:

2021
Emporix is listed for the first time in Gartner's Digital Commerce Vendor Guide as a modular multi-tenant platform.
We start our go to market in 2021 and add first partners and customers for sophisticated digital commerce outside grocery retail.

2022
We continue to invest in our capabilities for enterprise digital commerce in B2B and sophisticated B2C.
More and more customers trust Emporix, for example MED-EL, the leading hearing implant company or AmerCareRoyal, a leading supplier for disposables.
We become a certified MACH Alliance member.
2023
Emporix is listed in the IDC MarketScape Worldwide B2B Digital Commerce Applications for Midmarket Growth Vendor Assessment as Major Player.
Emporix wins further well-known customers and continues to expand its ecosystem of sales and technology partners.
2024
Emporix is also listed in the IDC MarketScape Worldwide B2C Digital Commerce Platforms for Midmarket Growth 2024 Vendor Assessment as Major Player.
Several DAX companies decide for the Emporix Orchestration Engine, which is offered in partnership with Celonis.
