E-commerce specialist Emporix has appointed experienced business strategist Thomas Klar as its new Chief Revenue Officer.
With 20 years’ experience in the retail technology and marketing communications sector, Thomas will be responsible for expanding Emporix’s growing international network to deliver headless commerce solutions to support retailers and their web agencies.
Thomas Klar joins Emporix from Media Elements Group in Berlin where he oversaw growth of its influencer and online marketing platform. His experience also includes working for US software companies Twilio and Syniverse, and as country manager for Germany for a digital customer experience API from Nexmo.
Eberhardt Weber, CEO of Emporix, commented, “It’s great to be welcoming someone of Thomas’ calibre into our company. He brings a blend of expertise in software as a service and an understanding of how to engage customers in a positive online experience. This skillset will be invaluable as we continue to grow our business.
“Recent events have really fast-tracked the development of e-commerce, changing the way in which customers interact with brands, so creating a vibrant online user experience is now the goal of retailers. Where there is a positive front-end user experience, there also needs to be a solid back-office foundation, and this is where our headless commerce solution comes in.
“Thomas will be connecting with retailers and expanding our global network of system integrators and web agency partners to help make this happen. I’m delighted to have him on board.”
